Description
Otto Klemperer Rare Beethoven Symphony No2 Original 1st Form Pressing Being On The Light Blue/Silver Columbia Stereophonic Label SAX 2331.This Is The Symphony No2 In D Major OP.36 Coriolan And Prometheus Overtures.
Cover: In excellent condition.Front is laminated and does still have the original gold/red EMI stereophonic recording sticker.There are only very very light corner edge wear marks,and the spine is near mint.Front opening edge again has only very very light signs of wear(no rips or tears).Rear is again unmarked with just some light browning towards opening edge.The record also comes with the original poly lined inner sleeve.This is now getting very hard to find in this condition.
Record: Generally in excellent condition,with only a couple of hairline marks.Plays beautifully crisp and clear with only occasional light background noises on quieter parts.There are a couple of minor ticks and a couple of split second hisses within the 1st 10 or so seconds right at the start on both sides(ticks on one side and hiss on other).I have had a good look and there are no marks at all.The record does sound superb and in no way does this spoil any enjoyment,i just like to be thorough with my descriptions.There are no skips or jumps and the record still retains a great glossy shine.Both labels are near mint.All in all this is a super,rare example for any collector.I have decided to sell at a very low starting price.Thank you for your time and interest and happy bidding.
