This is the super rare UK IMPORT LP that was released in September 1980 when it came out as an Import only. The US version was not released until March 1981.
This version has the different band logo on ther front cover. And a completely different band photo on the rear cover.
Up for sale is one (1) Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Ozz UK Import LP from 1980 on JET Records (#JET LP 234).
Features the incredible band of Mr. Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley, & Lee Kerslake.
PLAY TESTED! I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT STILL SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD, ESPECIALLY CRANKED UP! IT PLAYS ALL THE WAY THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS. BUT YOU WILL HEAR SURFACE NOISE!The Vinyl is in good condition, but has many visual surface marks that will cause surface noise and pops & clicks that are typical with a good grading. Even with a good+ grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
Nice fairly clean labels with some spindle marks. And there is some fading on the labels.Please note I'm grading the cover as Very Good(for this cover) because European and UK import sleeves of this era are very flimsy and usually suffer heavy wear, but this one is in great shape, even with the front ring wear.
The cover is in Very Good condition(for this flimsy European Import cover) with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, peeling, crumples, creases, scrapes, and ring wear. There are NO split seams. There is some peeling along the front bottom from the ring wear.
This UK Import cover typically does not age well, but this one is in great shape.
The custom inner lyric sleeve is in Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, crumples, creases, scrapes, and ring wear. There is some staining on the OO BOO logo side of an unknown oorigin. There are no split seams, but there is a weakening spot on all 3 sides that could lead to splits. To avoid these future splits the LP is now being housed in a plain white inner sleeve.
I obtained this LP new at Rolling Stones Records in Chicago in September 1980 when it first came out as an Import only. The US version was not released until March 1981(with a different cover). It was played many times back in the day. Not played in many years.
