Description
P1/E "Dependence / 49 Seconds Romance" 7" issued by Exil-System (SCH 1/80) in Germany, 1980. This copy No. 23 with original handmade sleeve. ****** Rec:ex Cov:vg+++ ****** Legendary first single by cult P1/E, ultra rare with the handmade sleeve. P1/E was formed in Berlin 1979. The original band members were Michael Schäumer, Michael Voigt (of Monogam Records fame, house of the first Einsturzende Neubauten), Michael Hirsch (from Exkurs) and Ute Droste. In the rehearsal cellar the band discovered a fourteen year old drummer, Alexander Hacke, who later became a member of cult band Einstürzende Neubauten. Before the recording of the legendary "Dependency / 49 Seconds Romance" 7" single Michael Voigt left the band and Thomas Voburka (Weltklang) who worked with Schäumer in the famous Exil restaurant in Kreuzberg, joined as a guest singer. The single was released in spring 1980 followed by two tracks on the groundbreaking Monogam compilation and two tracks on the "Licht & Schatten" SO36 album in 1981. "49 Seconds Romance" is now a favorite in the Minimal-Electro-Scene. Recorded at Musiclab Studio Berlin, 01/28/1980. Thanks to: Thomas Rosamek, Sabine Hacke, Mutfuk, Zensor, Axel Hanker, Burkhard Jarick und Monogam. Distributed by Monogam Vertrieb.
