Description / Beschrijving
I am selling a part of my private collection of vintage equipments, give look to my other sales;

Here on the sales a pair of VITAVOX AK121 and associated fixing wood plate ( this will help for the eventual shipping:)
The AK121 is coming from the socalled VITAVOX AK120 serie.
These woofers have been made in England, they are 12' bass elements .
You will find an extract from the original vitavox leaflet concerning the characteristics of these woofers by consulting the table below.

SHAPE :
Coils have been measured :
Speaker A = 11,2 Ohms,
Speaker B = 11,7 Ohms
I looked carrefully the speakers and I can mention the following points:

The speakers are overall in very good shape except following points that need to be mentionned , this point have been shooted on close-up, do give a look to all the pictures above:
1. There is a thin chip on the surround of one cone , please look the close up picture.
2. The dust cap are distached on some places, please look the close up pictures, for my opinion , this could be easily fixed.

These are vintage second hand speakers, therefore it is impossible for me to give a warranty as a profi shop would do.
The buyer has of course the possibility to test them ( without enclosure) if he comes in Hannut.
In case of appointment in Brussels , there is no possibility of test.
Foreign EBayers are welcom, but caution these are heavy items, please read the information over the shipping costs below this description.

The speakers and wood elements are weighting 16 Kilograms.
I based the calculation of the shipping costs for a boxing over the 20 Kilograms, what raises up the shipping price.
Should the weight of the package below the 20 Kilograms (what I can not promise) this should mean lower shipping costs, I would send the difference back to the buyer.
I am not doing business with shipping costs.

Please be serious , place an offer only if you intend to go till end of transaction, this is not a game.
I do NEVER use any reserve price for my sales.

Please do not hesitate to send me your questions in nederlands, français, Italiano, deutsch, english but sorry I will not answer demands for stopping the sale before the end.

Extract from 1957 Vitavox leaflet:

The VITAVOX AK120 Series loudspeakers are centre on a
common basic design incorporating a rigid diecast chassis,
powerfullmagnet assembly and facilities for cone replacement.
The chassis is a precison component combining extreme rigidity with dimensional acccuracy .
The cone is held by a channel-section clamp ring which facilitates adjustment during assembly
and simplifies the fitting of replacement cones should dammage make this necessary.
Accurately machined compponents and positive location ensure that the initial factory assembly
remains undisturbed in transit and throughout years of service.
All metal parts are treated to a tropical specification.
The magnet asembly is designed on particularly generous lines and
incorporates a heavy ring magnet of the most modern high efficiency material.
The system provides a sensibily uniform field throughout the permissable excursion
of the voice coil thus eliminating non-linear distorsion.
The construction of types AK120, AK121 and AK122 is of a dust-excluding nature
incorporating curvilinear cones and a woman annular rear suspension.
The loudspeaker can easily be dismanteled for cleaning when necessary.
The surrounds of the cones fitted to types AK121 and AK122 are subjected to an individual
plasticising treatment to provide a low fundamental resonance within the limits given in the specification.
The one-piece felted paper type cone is choosen in preference to other types as giving superior restoring force and reliability with a freedom from edge reflections.
AK121: Bass speaker ( woofer) with low resonnance cone, dust-excluding construction, 15 Ohms impedance.
