still sealed, shrink is a tiny bit worn from storage. US version (with a barcode sticker on top of the barcode printed on the sleeve)
The Osasto EP was Pan Sonic's precursor to the seminal Kulma album, and also happens to feature some of their most unmissable tracks. The Ep's opener 'Uranokemia' sets us off to a meat-grinding start; this is techno at its most disturbed. White noise is used where the hi-hats should be, and the usual 303 pulse is replaced by overdistorted synth blips and moans. The result is akin to having your stomach pumped by an army of ghostly robots; messy and frightening but absolutely precise. An essential track and almost impossible not to bob your head to, the effect on a dancefloor (or even better - a warehouse) would be truly devastating. The second slice 'Telako' is a sub-gabba kick drum onslaught that challenges even the most seasoned of stomachs, yet the fourth track 'Murto' is even heavier, with an industrial strength distorted drive that makes it totally impossible to ignore. Essential band, essential ep
