Description
Papa Bear's Medicine Show: same 1998, Germany/Five Little Indians. Disc is M-, cover is M- in shrink wrap, and it has four concert handbills as inserts. This is like new! RARE deluxe numbered repressing of this impossible to find retrospective LP by the Vancouver, B.C. band. The story I heard was that their manager put the LP out without the band's knowledge after they'd split (!) and that only 100 copies were pressed in 1970! Well, thankfully one of those fell into the hands of the Little Indians (pre-Shadoks) label in Germany who did a beautiful job making this repressing. This has better sound than the original, and the cover is built for survival, unlike the original one, so this may be the preferred version to have in the collection. Just sayin'. There's some pop psych, some uptempo tracks that sound like The New Tweedy Bros! meeting up with Moby Grape, some soft rock, and even some electronic weirdness. Check out the sounds on YouTube via this link (the first nine tracks): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp-0i7awdoM
