RED HOT MAMA / LITTLE OLE COUNTRY BOY ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by PARLIAMENT music produced and written by RUTH COPELAND and GEORGE CLINTON for HOLLAND - DOZIER PROD' INC. Original Italian pressing on the INVICTUS label (3C 006 92537), from 1971. Cult, psychedelic double-sider by experimental funk rock band Parliament, led by George Clinton. Features the original, 7-inch-only version of RED HOT MAMA not the later recording by Clinton's Funkadelic group. Sleazy fuzz groove and underground sound, like a faux Jimi Hendrix tune with endless guitar distortions / funky bassline / heavy break-beats and crazed vocal delivery. Great for DJs. The LITTLE OLE COUNTRY BOY side is a track from the Osmium Lp, the debut album of Parliament. Acid fried country rock with even crazier vocals from the LSD fuelled Clinton / Copeland and band. File beside your Ruth Copeland - I Got A Thing For You Daddy / Gimme Shelter single. This is the desirable Italian issue with superior sleeve artwork. Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition with a few light scuffs and hairlines. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M- overall) with a little creasing and minimal wear from storage. A few small wear marks to edges / some ring dirt marks to back sleeve. Rare 45!!!
