Description
PAT HAWES With DAVE CAREY'S RHYTHM , Tempo Records (LAP 9) 1956.
This is the very rare original 1956 10" LP featuring Pat Hawes on piano, backed Dave Carey's rhythm section (Dave Carey - DRUMS, Bob Mack - GUITAR and Eric Starr - BASS). Recorded at the Decca studios on April 12th, 1956 - a great session where all players sound involved, not just a pianist with some distant and uninvolved backing.

This record has been professionally cleaned on my MOTH record cleaning machine.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT++ (In normal daylight I could not see any marks or imperfections on the vinyl, under my bright grading lamp I could just make out a couple of faint surface marks/paper scuffs - but these do not translate into any kind of interference/noise during playback. There is just the very faintest of surface noise during the silent run-in which will be as it was originally pressed, and which disappears before the music starts... otherwise there is no excessive surface noise, no groove damage, no clicks, no pops, no distortion, etc - hardly ever played and stills plays perfectly - strong, clear and clean. . Note: I have thoroughly tested this record in my Linn LP12 turntable (which is generally quite critical test) and stand by my grading and description, although I cannot guarantee exactly how it will sound on your turntable. Sorry to be so uptight, but there are some very daft people out there! Overall, as good a copy (the only copy?) of this LP as I am ever likely to see in my lifetime)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT (As my picture shows, in great shape for it's age - no big rips, no delamination, no creasing, no defacing, etc. Just a white back that is now off-white and a minute tear, a few mm in length, on the top right corner mark it down slightly. For further clarification, please check out my photos)
NOTE: It's probably worth noting that we are an actually physical record shop trading for over twenty years, with literally decades of record grading and trading experience under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the self-proclaimed experts and have-a-go-heroes that currently clog up ebay, we know how to grade records! Please read my description carefully before you bid and you should be perfectly happy with your purchase - many of my gradings include a certain degree of "ebay caution".
