Description

For the record…

Pat Hervey-s/t, RCA Victor Canada International, PCS-1021, Mid-1960s.

Rare Canadian-only northern soul/pop/vocal jazz LP. Killer version of Mitty Collier’s “Pain.” Better than the original? So good. Hervey is also notable for her back-ups w/ Toronto R&B/soul group The Tiaras. Recommended.

Side 1: 1) Pain 2) Sea Breeze 3) The Many Moods Of My Baby 4) This Ole House 5) Tiger Man

Side 2: 1) Willow 2) Just Words 3) Summertime 4) Hava Nagila 5) Hand A Handkerchief To Helen 6) Every Girl

Original CDN pressing

Please listen below for a sample from this album…

Cover: VG++/M- (very small pen mark and minor patina, an excellent jacket, beautiful)

Vinyl: VG+(+) (many surface marks, solid spin overall w/ occasional light surface noise, more noticeable on mellow tracks, “Pain” plays LOUD and PROUD)

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING

Grading scale: Sealed (unopened, any visible flaws described), M- (mint minus or NM, highest grade, overall clean play and look, any minor flaws described in listing), VG++ (solid spin, mostly clean play and look, flaws as described), VG+ (still enjoyable/presentable, plays with occasional surface noise/pops, any visual flaws noted), VG (contains flaws as described), VG- (lowest grade, will have significant flaws as described, reference copy)
