Description
PAT KILROY Light Of Day (Elektra UK 1966) Mono
Groundbreaking LP and his only release. Very early venture into psychedelic eastern acid folk, with shades of Tim Buckley, but weirder and wilder. He also met with The Incredible String Band on a visit to London apparently, and probably influenced their subsequent sound. Released in the UK at the time in tiny quantities, and by all accounts this was almost impossible to find even at the time. All copies came with a UK pressed LP in a US made sleeve, as with several other UK Elektra LPs like Love's first LP. Unfortunately this was Pat's only release in his lifetime as he died of cancer only a year after this release at the very young age of 23. .
Grading
Vinyl: VG+ Looks pretty nice, plays with odd bits of noise here and there, but certainly no repetitive clicks or anything major.
Sleeve: VG+ Looks good, with solid unworn edges and corners, but does have tape residue on reverse top left.
Grading
M- As new, no marks of any kind whatsoever.
EX Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound
VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.
VG Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
