PATRICK SAMSON SET - SONO NERO on MUSIC PARADE from 1968Description: Very rare Italian only LP by Patrick Samson Set from 1968. This LP feature a pratically unknown funky mod boogaloo version of Dyke and The Blazers / Wilson Pickett's soul anthem. Stasera Canto Io (A Funky Broadway) is a fantastic track with heavy primitive deep funk sound, heavy horns section, very funky break and lyrics sung in italian. This track was comped on Stasera Shake Vol. 3! Other fabulous funk tracks are "Philly Dog" (a cover version of "walking the dog" by Rufus Thomas) and "Last Night" (by The Mar-Keys) with it's furious and REALLY massive drum break outro. Expect more from "Sono Nero".. Fantastic album so far..and a really unique italian sound!! Dope album and very rare LP!
Conditions: Original tiny picture sleeve cover is VG / VG+, have a small written on front and back. Moderate ring wear and discolouration. Record is EX, with superficial signs that don't affect play. Plays well overall. Sound clip is recorded from the actual record for sale. Please listen carefully to it!
