Description
Killer historical value on this early reissue Sire records 7" single (1977!) with the "namedropping" thanks to NYC, wonderful cover with a polaroid by Sandy Daley. Lenny Kaye (Nuggets) Tom Verlaine (Television) Robert Mapplethorpe (art & her roomate) & recorded at Electric Ladyland studios where she met Jimi Hendrix as it was being built in 1970. "Free Keith" on the bottom (who had gotten busted in Canada on Heroin charges early that year & was on a suspended sentence. This single originally issued in 1974 is musically as good as anything she has ever done also (Sire records Mono SRE 1009) produced by Lenny Kaye for Robert Mapplethorpe recorded on June 5th 1974, this was a reissue of the Mer record single from 1974 (Mer 601).
