Description

This is Patti Smith's very first record release, as far as I know. What's more, on this copy the labels are TRANSPOSED; ie the labels indicate the opposite track to the one on the disc when played. The credits on the label are:- PISS FACTORY (4:41) Guitar Lenny Kaye, Piano Richard Sohl HEY JOE (Version) (5:05) Lead Guitar Tom Verlaine, Rhythm Guitar Lenny Kaye, Piano Richard Sohl Produced by Lenny Kaye for Robert Mapplethorpe, Mono 601 Hey Joe is credited to "Scith-Sohl" I part company with this record with some regret but if I'm getting rid of all my records where do you draw the line? I remember buying it in Armadillo Records in Bournemouth about 1977! 30 years ago... Simple plain white sleeve some tears and folds. There is a fair amount of surface noise on both sides, don't know why, but if anything it adds atmosphere to the driving performances.I would grade the record itself as ex - . From a personal standpoint, I regard HORSES as the finest rock record ever made. This is its precursor, two glorious examples of out there driving poetic rock and roll. International postal rates on application. Postage costs include 1st class UK delivery in card backed envelope Thanks for bidding
