Description
Paul Astor, British pianist, plays:
12" Zonophone Twin A 138: Chopin, Waltz in A flat op. 42 No 5 / Polonaise in A flat op. 53, matrices z7133f, z732f. Condition: 3, rub / 3-4
12" Zonophone A 144: Godard, Mazurka op. 54 No 2 / Grieg, Norwegian Bridal March op. 19 No 2, matrices z735f, z7136f. Condition: 2-3
12" Zonophone A 157: Chaminade, Autumn op. 35 No 2 / Spinning weel op. 35 No 3, matrices z713f. z7116f. Condition: 4, rough start, some fine scratches, greying, but plays better than looks.
All recorded appr. 1910-1912. Not usual to find today.
Grading:
1 = mint, never played on gramophone, is not used
1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new
2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks
2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes
3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible
3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible
4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible
5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
