Artist: Paul Bryan Title: Listen Of Paul Bryan Category / Genre: Soft Rock / Folk / Blue Eyed Soul Label / Nr.: Blue Rock Records OW 546 Pressing: 1973 Original Brazilian Pressing Format: LP (33 RPM) Comments: This is together with Joe & Bing "Best Of Friends" one the best and rarest soft rock / folk LPs which were ever released in Brazil. But in contrast to Joe & Bing Paul Bryan is neither an American nor an UK based singer / songwriter as the name maybe pretends. Also i guess all other english/american sounding names mentioned here are aliases of brazilian studio musicans.
Anyway...
This album is full of floating, jazzy and folky songs difficult to mention a special one. But i think "Like A Rainy Night" and "Feel Like I Feel" (has "little" allusions to a Stevie Wonder tune) are the highlights here.
Nice orchestration / instrumentation (drums / perc. / bass / acc. guit / e-guit / wurlitzer e-piano / flute / vibes / strings ...) and a nice charming voice with a brazilian accent.
One of my top 10 favourite soft rock albums of the 60's / 70's..
A MUST HAVE FOR ALL SOFT ROCK / FOLK FANS. Vinyl Condition: Used: With a few visible surface marks. A light background noise can be audible mostly in some of the calm passages. But that does not affect enjoying the music.
(In fact, i just found three copies of this LP in my lifetime. And they all had the same condition. As by the way a lot of brazilian pressings have.) Cover Condition: Gatefold cover. Shows the usual signs of aging.Upper and lower seam beginning to split.
