This auction is for a Blue Note original
PAUL CHAMBERS SEXTET
"Whims Of Chambers"
Blue Note 1534 High Fidelity
both labels are Deep Groove and read:
Microgroove 47 West 63rd New York 23
RVG is stamped in the runout groove on both sides as well as the "Ear" mark. The Cover photo is by Francis Wolff and was designed by Reid Miles and includes liner notes by Leonard Feather. It was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder.
The Cover is in VG- condition with clear graphics and is taped nicely on 3 sides protecting what looks to be a split. This does not detract from the beauty of the cover photo or liner notes.
The cover has the 767 Lexington Avenue, New York 21 Address and is nice looking otherwise with just a hint of wear on the back and a very small sticker mark on the front at the top-right.
The Record is Excellent, the playback is very clean and sounds Near-Mint. There is faint background noise for about 30 seconds during one of the tracks but this does not detract from the clarity of the sound. There is No Groove Wear on this record and it was well cared for by the original owner. Once again, the sound is as clear as day and what a wonderful record!
