Paul McCartney and Wings - 'Venus And Mars'. PCTC 254

Paul McCartney and Wings FULLY COMPLETE 1975 UK 1st UNDOCUMENTED CONTRACT PRESSING of the 'Venus And Mars' LP. Released on the 30th May 1975, this comes complete with ALL extras - custom inner sleeve, 2 posters and 2 stickers.

As can be seen in the pictures both labels feature a prominent ridge which is unlike any standard UK issue. This denotes a contract pressing of some kind produced by another record company which I am unable to 100% identify, perhaps Decca Records? Contract pressings of 'Venus And Mars' are currently undocumented in the UK Rare Record Guide. This is NOT a foreign pressing as both labels state 'Made in Gt. Britain'. Another usual feature is one label appears glossy and smooth in appearance the other appears matt and textured, very strange.

This is an incredible rarity of which very few will exist. This would grace any high end Beatles / Paul McCartney collection.

The matrix numbers are:

Side 1: PCTC 254-A No other digits.

Side 2: PCTC 254-B No other digits.

The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition on side one and EXCELLENT- condition on side two.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT/MINT- condition. Side one shows a slight fold which looks to have been done during production.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.

The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. I will include an additional sleeve to protect the original.

The posters are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The stickers are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The inner sleeves are in VERY GOOD++ and EXCELLENT condition. One has a small rip. I will include additional inner sleeves to protect the originals.

This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £5.50. EU recorded postage is: £13.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £19.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
