Offered for sale with no reserve, is this beautiful limited edition hardback book and vinyl LP from Paul Weller. Titled 'A Thousand Things' this book is a visual history of one of Britain's greatest songwriters, Paul weller. For most of you looking at this, you will know what it's all about. If you don't, this edition is limited to just 2000 copies worldwide, every book in this 12 inch boxed set is PERSONALLY signed by Paul weller and includes a record of previously unreleased tracks exclusive to this boxed set.
THE BOOK.
Each SIGNED copy of 'A Thousand Things' contains nearly 350 photographs that tell the story of an amazing 30 year recording career, from the earliest days of The Jam, through the Style Council to his incredible solo albums. These are printed over 230 pages, each edged in silver. Every copy is hand made using traditional materials and printed on heavyweight archival paper. Borrowing it's dimensions from a traditional 12 inch LP record, the book's format allows for the covers of every one of Paul Wellers studio albums to be reproduced full size.
The cover is bound in screen printed buckram and the spine is a luxurious leather with the title embossed in silver along it's length. The book and vinyl record are housed in a black buckram box, hand made in Italy, screen printed and foil blocked in silver.
THE SPECIALLY PRESSED 12" VINYL.
The accompanying vinyl record features four previously unreleased recordings by The Jam, taken from an original demo tape found by Paul Weller in the vaults of Solid Bond Productions. When Paul discovered the tape it's cannister was unlabelled. The tape itself was so brittle that it literally had to be oven baked. Eventually, four original Jam demo tracks from early 1977 were revealed and digitally remastered and restored. These were the demos that got The Jam the record deal with Polydor.
Pressed on heavyweight vinyl for the best possible sound quality, with a facsimile label from Paul Wellers own record collection, the tracks are;
Side A; 'In The City' and ' A Time For truth'
Side B; 'So Sad About Us' and Sounds From The Street.
This record is ONLY available as part of the 'A Thousand Things' boxed set.
