Description
This is an overall fine original U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by L.A. psych group the Peanut Butter Conspiracy, released in 1967. Formed by members of folk-rock group the Ashes, the Conspiracy played pop and rock that can be characterized as a cross between the Jefferson Airplane (the Ashes had included future Airplane drummer Spencer Dryden) and the Mamas and the Papas. Their debut contains the closest they came to a hit, "It's a Happening Thing." The jacket has light ring wear and (on the back cover) staining, some tearing along the top of the back cover slick (see photo), light corner and seam wear, and sticker residue on the front cover -- EX(-). “Demonstration/Not for Sale” is stamped on the back cover. The disc has some dings, hairline scratches and scrapes, and scuffing, and plays with some light surface noise and occasional crackling and light popping (VG++).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
