Description

These rare recordings from WW II starting with Dec. 7th, 1941 just hours after the attack at Pearl Harbor.  Radio station WLW broadcast before President Roosevelt addressed congress and the nation about the bombings.  These rare glimpses prior to the President's address give you a true insight to the panic and chaos that may have occurred in the country just hours after the event.  Other records in this album "total of nine" seven are War related events with FDR's voice, starting the draft to the end of draft war conclusion.  Three are just after the war, one a home decorating episode and two by Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians.   All in excellent condition, no flaking or overbearing noise that occur in most home recordings.  They play very well, extreme clarity and volume is consistent throughout.
