PEARL JAM - Ten Picture Disc Vinyl LP Original UK Pressing 1992 EPIC 4688840
Superb copy of this hard to find original picture disc of Pearl Jam's debut album Ten. The only disappointing thing to note on this copy is the perspex sleeve (the clear sleeve with the band photo etched on) has split at the top seam (about 3") and at the bottom (about 6-7") currently reinforced by some clear tape.The picture disc looks in great shape - very glossy and only some minor scuffing noticeable in the right light/angle. Plays with some background noise - nothing terribly distracting. Chances are you're not buying this to play anyway :)
The history of this item: I bought this copy back in 1992 and have been the only owner... I was only recently unaware there have been fakes made of this item. Having now done some research on the fake I have some photos here to prove you are bidding on a legitimate copy. As for this copy the word ORLAKE is etched in the deadwax on both sides (hard to photograph - but you should make it out). Secondly there is a semi circle cut in the sleeve making it easy to get the lp out. Thirdly the print job on the front and back is perfect--- the front photo and lettering hasn't faded at all. The back sleeve has the cat number and PX in well printed purples and the white Epic text down the bottom reads crisply too. I think it's all very safe to put fakes out of your mind for this one and bid with confidence.
This will be professionally packaged in sturdy mailers (with the vinyl outside of the sleeve to avoid further splitting) and with extra cardboard and padding ready for shipment - please ask if you wish for registered mail. 526 (GS 6.6.6 (526))
