"Two Shows Nightly".
ORIGINAL U.S. Capitol ST105 stereo.
Record and jacket are virtually mint - I only played it once each side!
In factory shrink.
Cut-out hole at top right hand corner.
THIS IS DEFINITELY PEGGY'S RAREST LP OF ALL TIME!
I do not know the reason for this album's (in)famous withdrawal by Capitol immediately after release in 1969. Some say its artwork was too similar to her "Somethin' Groovy" album (ST 2781) - it does appear to have the same photo. Others that Miss Lee was unhappy with the performances. Still others that there was a contractual dispute with Capitol and the album's producers. I cannot be sure.
What I am sure of however, is that because this is such a monstrous rarity, it will find a good and appreciative home! Who knows when you may ever see another!
The album was recorded "Live" at the Copacabana in New York City with arrangements by Shorty Rogers, Mundell Lowe, Bill Holman, Dave Grusin and Billy Byers.
