Client Satisfaction
I treat everyone as a client rather than a customer. Clients are long term associates that continue to patronize someone who is fair, trustworthy and honest regarding the wares being presented whereas customers are one-time purchasers of goods and never seen again. I strive to create a positive buying experience for all. As I would like to have only five star ratings, you should have a five star experience as well.

Peggy Lee Black Coffee Decca ED-533 NM/NM/NM
This is in some respects an unlikely assemblage of talents. When's the last time you heard a major popular singer accompanied not by an orchestra or big band, not by a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums), not even by a rhythm section plus tenor saxophone but by a rhythm section plus trumpet? The trumpet player, Pete Candoli (referred to as "Cootie Chesterfield"), moreover provides just enough brightness and fire to offset the "cool," low-key approach of Peggy as well as to push this normally controlled, perfectionist performer into some uncharacteristically spontaneous, even surprising, readings of familiar material. Compared to her straight-laced, flawless but stiff and sterile "live" session with George Shearing's trio, this is great jazz singing, as worthy of the description as any recording by a Billie Holiday or Carmen McRae.
As for individual tracks, Peggy makes practically each of these songs the standard by which all other readings of the same tune can be compared (give "I've Got You Under My Skin" to Sinatra-Riddle, but the others I can scarcely "hear" any more when performed by anyone other than Lee). Besides the sultry, bluesy "Black Coffee," listen to her set fire to "Make Room for Daddy," register vulnerability and a hint of pain on the sublime "Easy Living".
Unlike other "torch singers," there are few traces of angst, masochism, and "hard-knocks" in Peggy's storytelling, yet she makes each song stick indelibly. There's something utterly transparent about her approach to her material, a quality that makes you forget she's singing for you rather than conversing with you. She draws you into her intimate circle, making you her privileged confidant.
All recordings provided are not of the actual item being sold, they are here to simply permit hearing the song for evaluation purposes only.
All items are as described and are presented with written and photographic evidence for you to ascertain worthiness for your bid submission. I do not sell forgeries, reproductions (unless specifically stated within the item description) or intentionally misrepresent an item to mislead potential prospects. All items are from my personal collection that I have acquired over the past fifty years. All items come from a smoke free home. I am not a business and am simply seeking caretakers to enjoy these items as much as I have.
Questions
I will respond to any and all rational questions in an expedient manner.
Packaging
Records: Albums that have been opened are prepared by removing the inner sleeve and record from the jacket. Records are gently cleaned using a Nitty Gritty Model 1.5 machine (with the exception of “lots” which are hand cleaned). They are placed in a heavy duty polyethylene sleeve (with the exception of “lots” which may or may not be placed in a polyethylene sleeve). Custom made 200# test corrugated mailers are used with two corrugated stiffeners and two sheets of ¼” bubble wrap sheets for protection and cushioning for record counts up to three, beyond that 200# test corrugated boxes are used. 45 RPM records are prepared the same way as albums with the exception that if it has the original sleeve, the record is placed in a heavy duty plain sleeve and the factory sleeve is placed in the poly sleeve separately. There is a charge to help offset the cost of materials.
Collectibles: Item size and type dictate packing materials. Small items (pinback buttons, pocket calendars etc.) will be packed in padded envelopes with corrugated stiffeners. Larger items will be packed in appropriate sized corrugated boxes with cushioning (cushioning varies from shredded or balled paper to Styrofoam peanuts or bubble wrap depending on item).

Invoice
The shipping calculator is infamous for its’ error prone ways. Please wait for my invoice to ensure correctness and completeness. This is especially true if you are seeking to combine items to save on associated costs. Also, insurance is encouraged on every item and is required on all items selling for $25.00 or more (this includes items with a combined value of $25.00 as well).
Payment
I accept PayPal and other authorized forms of payment per eBay criteria. Payment is expected within three (3) days after auction closes. If you are bidding on auctions set to close at a later time, payment is still required for current wins, shipping costs will be factored in once all auctions have completed. I will hold items for a maximum of ten (10) days for combined shipping.
Bidders that have less than a 10 rating, or who have been with eBay less than six (6) months must find an alternative to PayPal for payment. If you elect to pay by this method anyway, your payment will be refunded in full.
Returns
Returns are accepted only if the item received does not substantially conform to the original listing description elements. Shipping and associated costs are to be borne by the purchaser. Additionally, returned items must be packed in original packing or better.as presented and described in the original listing. 50 years of collecting has taught me that errors or oversights in descriptions can occur. If a client elects to keep an item they dispute to be as described I welcome the opportunity to work with you to resolve any conflict amicably. If a return is inevitable the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs (both directions) and the item I receive must be the same item in the same condition as when it left my hands and shipped the same way. Additionally, all returned items must be shipped in the same package I provided or the same quality level. If an item is returned, buyer agrees to go to conflict resolution to resolve any and all claims against me.
