Description

On the Capitol label, CL 14902, a fantastic and rare, smokey version of this bluesy classic. In VG condition in a Capitol sleeve.

Written in 1955 and first recorded by Little Willie John, it was a huge hit for him. Lee reached No. 8 in the Billboard Charts with it in 1958 and it was  nominated for Record of the Year , with Peggy Lee nominated for Best Female Vocal Performance at the very first Grammy Awards Ceremony.
In my opinion, much copied but never bettered, even by the velvet voice of Elvis ! 
All 78s are graded according to Record Collector guidelines and are dispatched in purpose made polystyrene boxes that have proved 100% reliable up to now . However, nothing is infallible so if any problem occurs, please contact me directly and the difficulty will be resolved quickly and amicably.
All 78s have been test played on a Pye Black Box.
