Description
On Capitol Records T-1219, this is a DJ Souvenir package from the live recording of the Peggy Lee/George Shearing "Beauty And The Beat" album at the 1959 Miami DJ Convention. Only 2500 of these packages were made. Of the 2500 Souvenir packages, selective copies had signed pictures of Peggy Lee and George Shearing. This is one of those copies with the signed pictures. They are not "autopen" signatures. The condition of the cover, cover letter and pictures is near mint. The vinyl is very clean, visually VG+++ with a few very light surface marks. Matrix # in deadwax T1-1219-N3, and T2-1219-N3. This package is from Clif Mercer, who was an announcer of WGN in Chicago in the 1950's - 1970's. Housed in a special box that is in excellent condition with one small 1" tear at right center seam of the box. See scans.
