UN MESSAGGIO PERUGINA PER LEI ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by FRANCO GODI (un-credited). Original Italian private pressing on the PERUGINA label from 1975. Super-obscure Italian Library / product placement / advertising / promotional single created for the Perugina confectionery company. Groovy soundtrack item featuring a selection of Brazilian tinged pop funk and disco jingles that the public were to vote on their favourite theme (see inside the gatefold) for future use in a television advertising campaign. One side is all spoken word but side 2 contains the infectious mood music links by the maestro. A compère guides you through the 5 short publicity skits featuring hippie sunshine pop / mid '70s Italian Library lounge / dabadabada scat samba breaks / fender rhodes bossa and a bangin' disco finale with funky bassline and wah wah guitars. Our soundclip opens with an edited down version of side 2 (without the spoken word intro and closing comments) followed by the complete theme. Great for DJs and mix makers. Seldom offered for sale and still practically unknown to many collectors. Striking gatefold sleeve artwork. Very rare Library OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with a few hairlines and scuffs from sleeve removal. Light surface noises. The soft card, gatefold picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M- overall) with light wear. Some creasing from storage (mostly to to top seam). Minimal corner wear. A few faded dirt spots. Very rare Library OST 45!!!
