Description

PETE BROWN Art School Dance UK Prog Progressive Psych . Rare UK Harvest lp from 1970. According to Tapestry of Dreams " Brown formed Piblotko after he'd been asked to leave Battered Ornaments. Piblotko's debut lp was much more accessible than any of the Ornaments output. The title track was inventive:My love's gone far away featured some effective organ work; High flying electric bird featured Brown on a Cornish slide whistle which sounded like a chirping bird; Firesong was a a folky relaxed number and the magnum opus was definitely the gentle Golden Country Kingdom. Overall the songs were more commercial than those on the Battered Ornaments lp." Also includes Things may come and things may go but the art school dance goes on forever/Someone like you/Walk for charity run for money/Then I must go and can I keep/My love's gone far away/Golden country kingdom/Firesong/Country morning.
