Stickered BBC RADIO MANCHESTER 7 OCT 1977 PROMO
Sought after Punk 45 in EXCELLENT+ condition - In the title I list with KBD question mark - as when seen this record up for sale before - it's been listed as KBD - but perhaps you lot out there can tell us - I havn't seen this track listed in any " KILLED BY DEATH " punk various artists comps '77-'82 - from the earliest volumes from Sweden & then the Australian KBD comps.Perhaps its included in the many Killed By Death comps that followed in the later 90's & onwards.
Certainly an obscure 1977 record and rare by small quantity around. If you have never heard it - both tracks can be found on Youtube so have a listen before bidding.

- Pete Newnham teamed up with Mike Marchant ( formerly Bassist Third Ear Band ) & Paul Hammond ( formerly drums for Atomic Rooster ). They cut these 2 tracks & were supposed to be going by band name T.H.E. but B&C put it out under Pete's name only. Approx 1000 pressed but poor distribution or promotion meant only about 100 were reputedly sold.
This disc was obviously at least sent out to BBC Radio Manchester hoping for airplay & publicity ( SEE PICS Promo sticker & Flyer ) - BUT - probably the B Side with these lyric lines put them off :
" I don't need you cos you cause me pain / I don't even care if I see you again / I need you baby like a pound of smack / I need you baby like a knife in the back "
A 1977 early punk classic - I've left the BBC Radio sticker on - though it could easily be removed - think the buyer should decide - lends it authenticity for exact release date - so you the buyer can decide whether to keep it there.

CONDITION RECORD : EXCELLENT Both Sides looks hardly played - I have played to check it out - but before that probs BBC never bothered.

CONDITION PROMO A4 FLYER : NR MINT SEE PICS folded to go in record cover but looks hardly ever handled - only ever seen a picture of one of these in Pete Newnham book / biography of his career - can't be many around.
