PETER BARDENS - The Answer
Original First Issue UK LP
Transatlantic Cat.No. TRA 222
Matrix A1 / B1
This is the original 1970 1st UK issue on the purple and whiteTransatlantic label housed in the fully glossed (front and back) sleeve.
This is a very good copy of this British acid psych, progressive rock album which boasts plenty of heavy organ from former Them member and future Camel star Peter Bardens and fine guitar thanks to Andy Gee and the uncredited (for contractural reasons) legendary Peter Green, plus some great soulful vocals courtesy of Love Affair and Widomaker frontman Steve Ellis and future solo star Linda Lewis.
This copy has been played but aside from a few minor surfaces marks and a little noise between a couple of the tracks the vinyl on the whole is very good, it still has its gloss sheen and there are no scratches and no hairlines. This is a very good ++/Ex - 1st issue copy
The sleeve is in excellent condition. There are no tears or splits, there is no writing on the sleeve, the spine is intact and there is just one small crease approx 1 inch long towards the front botton right hand corner. Aside from some lifting of the laminate to the left side of the sleeve on both the back and front and a little at the centre front top the laminate is intact and very shiny. This is a very good ++/Ex - sleeve.
The record labels are in excellent condition. No writing, no spindle wear.
