Description
PB & F (PETER BERKOW & FRIENDS) -- Live At Cabo's -- original 1977 U.S. album. Increasingly hard to find Private Press album from wild, eclectic guitarist/vocalist Berkow w/ fascinating mixture of free-flowing Prog-Rock, Hippie Jam, Jazz and Funk on long, trippy cuts like Mandala, Spin the Globe and I've Got Time. Includes hand-written and signed letter from Berkow to a friend, typed on the back of an original 1977 flyer for his band's performance at the Harlan Adams Theater ("a fund raising event to finance the recording of their next album" - !), in which he discusses his career: "Sometimes I think my niche is to be the guy who never gets the recording contracts with the large companys (sic) so I have to keep pioneering ways to do it on my own ... You know, music is messages being played over and over in peoples minds ..." Includes a sheet of counter-culture comics w/ handwritten notes, apparently by Berkow, plus a copy of an article he wrote for "Guitar Player" magazine and the original lyric sheet insert for the album.
