Description

PETER GABRIEL “So” First Day Of Release PROMO! Vinyl NM Cover EX. 1986 Geffen.

A first day of release promotion copy of this landmark album. The vinyl is shiny with no visible marks, first pressing from Allied. The cover is EX with a hint of ring wear on the obverse. A gold promotion stamp is on the front top edge. A hype sticker is attached “Featuring “Sledgehammer””. The white paper inner sleeve has the the lyrics and credits printed. There is one small seam split. Overall, a beautiful 37 year old promo copy of this album.

Fifth studio album from Peter Gabriel, and the first with a real title. Huge success, over 5 million sold in the U.S. alone. The #1 single “Sledgehammer” had a remarkable stop action video that was a mainstay on MTV. Other tracks include “Red Rain”, “Don’t Give Up” with Kate Bush, “In Your Eyes”, “Big Time” that were staples of Rock and Modern radio and Gabriel’s live shows.

When collecting, a 5 million seller is available everywhere used. But a NM Promotional copy separates this one from the ordinary. Enjoy!

Photos are of actual copy for sale.
