Description
PETER TOUCH & THE WAILERS - DANCING TIME 1967 UK 1ST NM Actually by Peter Tosh, STUNNING COXSONE UK 1st Press Up for sale here:
Peter Touch (actually Tosh) & the Wailers - Dancing Time b/w Treat Me Good. 1967 original Coxsone pressing with the classic blue label design. Fantastic production from Coxson Dodd as you'd expect from the legendary Studio 1 man. One of a handful of 60's releases credited to Mr Touch and his only on this rare label. Whether it was a contract dodge or just bad handwriting on the acetates when they arrived at the pressing plant I don't know. This rare ska 45 seldom turns up for sale and this copy is in stunning condition. Both sides are up-beat ska, my personal favourite has to be the flip 'Treat Me Good', classic Wailers skanking rhythms.
Please check my other listings for more hard to find LP's and singles, including these gems: Peter Touch(Tosh) on UK Coxsone, Beverley Simmons LP on UK Pama, Black Sabbath on Vertigo, rare USA only Police Picture Discs, System (super rare Heavy Prog) with more coming soon.
Catalogue no. CS 7012 on Coxsone records, 1967 UK 1st Press
Condition: The disc grades as NEAR MINT. Side A; the vinyl is pristine and looks unplayed, playback is perfect and sounds like new, despite being 40+ years old. Side B; one visible very light mark across the track, does not affect playback at all. Labels have round stamp 'BBO Gramophone Library' on both sides in purple ink. Otherwise free from marks or writing, including no obvious spindle marks. Push out centre is fully intact.
