MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Zelda Records very first Mono press released by Zelda Records in 1964, made and distributed in Colombia by Compañía Colombiana De Discos S.A. “Codiscos”, licensed from Vogue Records, France, catalog number ZC-23002, with machine etched matrix numbers 23002-Y in Side A and 23002-Z in Side B, with black/silver Zelda Records labels with big traditional Zelda Records orange triangle and rim text. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from South America!!! Amazing rarity for all Petula Clark lovers, fans and collectors!!!

This EP with 4 songs sung in Spanish by Petula Clark was originally released in 1964 in France and the same year it was released in Colombia with an UNIQUE COVER, made of only a sheet of thin paper folded in the middle and kept all together with a plastic bag. Front cover keeps strictly the original French artwork, with the picture of Petula Clark and the song titles written in Spanish only. Back cover is different, it has the EP title and the tracklist written in Spanish, translated to original languages (English and French), with full credits for songwriters and Spanish translators. In labels, EP title and the tracklist are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters and translators. It’s interesting to notice that catalog number in cover is “ZC-23002” but in labels it’s “ZVC-23002” and that song “Hello, Dolly!” is misspelled in back cover “Hello, Dolly?”!!! This EP plays at 33 1/3 RPM. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX- or EX condition, complete, clean and clear, with only some creases, very light ring marks, faint age browning, some little rips in the mouth edge and minimal wear in corners. The record is in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some scuffs and soft hairlines, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great EX+ or NM- condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole and a small number “5” written in both sides. The sound is in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a light background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some soft constant crackles, more evident in Side B, which don’t really cause major distraction from the experience to listen and enjoy this record from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS, maybe not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but with a very nice UNIQUE Picture Sleeve in great condition and still with a very decent and more than respectable sound quality after about 55 years, which will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Columbian issue!!! And don’t forget Petula Clark sings these 4 songs in Spanish and has UNIQUE ERRORS!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

______________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.
