INVITO ALLA DANZA

My funny Valentine - Fantastica

Cry me a river - Stradivarius

EP Philips 422 601 QE (ITA)

Milano, 1958

Jacket : EX

Light cardboard laminated cover almost new with both perfect flipback, without any wear or damage, very light ring wear, sharp corners without bumps or wear.

Vinyl : EX

Shiny vinyl in EX condition, with some very light rubs visible under a strong lamp, due to the "in & out" of the jacket. No marks whatsoever.

Catalogue/Label :

EP Philips 422 601 QE original first and only italian pressing.

It seems that this EP "Invito alla Danza" (=Invitation to dance) issues 4 tracks out of the 3 Philips EPs recorded by Piero Soffici Quartet in 1958:

My funny Valentine (Philips 421 871)

Fantastica (Philips (421 870)

Cry me a river (Philips 421 883)

Stradivarius (Philips 421 871)

Since I own in my collection the 3 EPs by Piero Soffici on Philips I can say that the versions of the track included in "Invito alla danza" are not alternative takes.

However, considering the extreme rarity of the 3 EPs on Philips it is worth having the 4 best tracks included onn this EP.

GRADING CODE

Grading is VISUAL, under a bright light.

NM (Near Mint): Record has been opened, and probably played, but is in impeccable condition. I do not use "mint".

EX (Excellent): Has signs of use or storage, but still considered top collection quality. Jackets may display some very light wear; vinyl may have a few light sleeve marks only visible in the highest light. Sound will full and clear, with little if any noise (NOTE, some records are just pressed poorly).

VG+ (Very Good Plus): Still a great copy but has a bit more wear. Vinyl may have some light scuffs or scratches, but nothing deep. Jacket may have some ringwear or seamwear. Sound should be great, with minimal if any noise.

VG Very Good): A great play copy but clearly used. Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. Jacket may have splits and wear but will not be falling apart.

VG-(Very Good Minus): A used or worn copy, that has not been taken good care of. Vinyl will have many scuffs or scratches, but play through enjoyably despite audible background noise. Covers will have tears, splits, writing, or other issues.

VG+ Fair, Poor: A very rough copy. Will play through without skipping unless otherwise noted, although records of this grade are sold AS-IS.

DISCOMANE will guarantee an absolute conservative record grading
