GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Cos'altro ?

Notes : music composed and performed by Pierre Henry. Inspired, at that time, from the concrete music (musique concrète) by Pierre Schaeffer, where the sonorities were intended in their original auditive meaning with natural noises, voices and sounds of the real world in opposition to instrumental and electronic music, Henry is very able to elaborate for a thriller movie a splendid musical gem. Noises of the wind that intersect with a female vocalism " Generique - Theme de Myriam ", thin and fragmented sounds but full of a special liquidity springing from keyboard instruments while hissing wind almost like human cries (" Après la Mort ") or the silent roar of the water (" The Gois - Scène de la Noyade ") give urgent and dramatic tension. Repeated musical notes for pregnant atmospheres of solemnity (" Scene de la Trappe ") and deep melancholy (" Theme de Catherine "). What else?
