You are bidding on a original pressing copy of the PIL - Metal Box 3 x 12" box set  released  by Virgin Records in 1979. This is METAL1. This is a Virgin pressing of the box set, not the more recent 4 Men with Beards reissue! In the dead wax it is inscribed for each record: 1 side A: METAL-1-A-2/ record 1 side B: METAL-1-B-1/ record 2, side C: METAL-1-C-2/ record 2, side D: METAL-1-D-1/ record 3, side E: METAL-1-E-1/ record 3, side F: METAL-1-F-3.  All the records are visually in VG condition with a few light surface scuffs on each, but all three records play like a VG+ copy and sound nice! The record labels are in  VG+ condition. The outer metal box is in VG condition with soem shelfwear/ slight scuffs to the metal but looks pretty nice, much better than some copies we have seen that look really rusted! This set has the original insert with track listing, which  is in VG condition.

Recently we have seen delay times as long as several weeks! Unfortunately there is not much we can do about this! So please, if you do purchase items from us to ship to Italy, be patient!

We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:

Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches.  generally still a great playing copy.  jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches.  jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
