City Kids I Wish I Was A Girl When's The Fun Begin? Chromium Plating Raceway Chambermaid Street Urchin
As soon as this album began my jaw dropped to the floor and stayed there for the entire duration. I've had "Never Ever Land" as well as Twink's "Think Pink" in my collection for years but never bothered to listen to any other records from the Pinks. I didn't really like "Bunch of Sweeties" that much and I think that's what sidetracked me from investigating further. But I'm glad I did, better late than never.
This is simply one of the most face melting hard rock records of the early 70s. Blistering guitars, unique vocals , as well as progressive leanings (At times reminiscent of Pretty Things later output -- Parachute comes to mind) keep the textures fresh, but ultimately this album just features a totally locked in power rock n roll trio shaking the earth to its core.
Essential for early 70s hard rock and heavy psychedelia fans.
