Please note: Please be aware that these records are old and have been stored in a case for many years. They come from a smokers environment and may smell musty or of nicotine. 

Another from my personal collection of over 50,00 Uk albums that I have collected over a period of 45 years or more!. This is an early original UK pressing of Pink Fairies "Live At The Roundhouse" released in 1982 on the Big Beat labels in the UK.  Visually the vinyl looks like new/Near Mint in my opinion. I struggle to see any spider traces around the spindle hole. No needle scratches or marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops. Please listen to the recording in the player below. I would grade the audio at Near Mint throughout in my opinion. I heard No loud constant clicks or pops.
This is complete with the original picture/ lyric insert record sleeve and  1st Press printed, original ist issue un laminated cover is also in excellent condition. It is noted that slight water stain mark is seen and wear at the top edge noted, but not realy noticed unless looked for in my opinion.

Live at the Roundhouse 1975 is a 1982 album of a 1975 concert by the UK underground group Pink Fairies.




A one-off reunion concert featuring all five previous members of the group was organised by Ted Carroll, head of Chiswick Records.




At the time of this gig, Rudolph was also playing bass for Hawkwind whilst Wallis was playing guitar for Motörhead. The tapes were licensed from Douglas Smith for release in 1982, although only part of the concert was issued, the rest being deemed unsuitable for public consumption.




It was pressed on pink vinyl with a cover by long-standing collaborator Edward Barker featuring a pig which had become the band's ident.





The track "Going Down" is a cover of the Freddie King song, but was erroneously credited to Lou Reed on the original release.




The actual concert included many live favourites from the Pink Fairies history not represented on the LP. Other songs performed at the concert included "Do It", "3/5 Mile in 10 Seconds", "The Snake", "Street Urchin" and "Bye Bye Johnny".







Poor recording quality led to an abbreviated release. This was in truth the 2nd reunion of the year, the first having taken place in Feb without the presence of Twink and generally considered the better of the two among fans despite the Fairies non-headlining status at the earlier gig.









Demand was so high that those locked out attempted to burn down the doors of the venue. The stage was 'enhanced' by a large polystyrene Mandrax tablet erected by the road crew and the distribution to the crowd of many cannabis 'joints'. Such was the reaction that the trio of Wallis/Sanderson/Hunter went on to tour at length after the second concert, Wallis juggling his commitment to Motorhead.




When this album was released on CD, several unrelated bonus tracks were added. On the CD release, the first five tracks are from the live performance at the Roundhouse. The following six are a collection of previously unreleased tracks, recorded by the Pink Fairies. After this follows a further three tracks, credited as being created by "Twink & The Fairies" in fact a wholly unrelated project, the only other 'fairy' being Sanderson on bass for "Do It 77".

The Vinyl
Original PINK VINYL. On visual inspection this looks like new in my opinon, I don;t think that this record had been played before I recorded it for this listing.. Any marks that could possibly be seen angled to the light would be sleeve removal type/paper scuffs only, at least nothing deep or feelable that woul cause any loud constant clicks or pops.  The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping. Importantly, there are no visual marks that would cause any loud constant clicks/ticks or pops during the play of this vinyl.

The Audio Quality
I have play tested the vinyl two times on two different turntables/systems at very loud volume prior to this listing. Once for you to hear the complete album. (Can be heard in the player above)
The moment that the needle hits the playing surface it is obvious to me that this has barely ever been played at all. Crystal clear and vibrant stunning top audio throughout the play of this vinyl. I heard no loud constant clicks or pops during the play of the vinyl.   I would grade the audio at Very Near Mint!

Please note! Allowances must be made for these mid eighties pressings. They are notorious for static ticks/crackle in quieter places. I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for very light isolated static type crackle/ticks that might be noticed in quieter places, but not consistent through out the audio. Debrit was noted on the playing surface after play. A constant clean before each play is recommended because this vinyl has been stored in a case laying dormant for over 30 years. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static ticks/ crackle. constant cleaning before each play will reduce this and enhance the audio quality.
 
The Labels
These are the original 1st UK issue Big Beat labels No visual spider marks can be seen angled to the light in my opinion,  This has barely ever been played at all in my personal opinion!  There is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round.

The Record Sleeve
This is the original 1st issue flimsy paper picture record sleeve. This is straight and generally clean with light creasing only.  There are no edge splits or tears. The vinyl is always stored separately from the vinyl. This is how I have always stored my records.

The Cover
This is the original UK issue Un laminated cover. (NO Barcode, only 1st UK issues) No nasty creases to report. If looked for it is noted that I see a water stain and wear/split at the top edge from the vinyl pertruding at the top about an inch. Very slight crease noted top right hand corner. It is noted that the vinyl is now always stored separately from the cover. Rich and very vibrant colours. I would grade this cover at excellent in my opinion.
