Double album featuring lp "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and lp "Saucerful of Secrets"


Condition:  Solid VGplus
A Nice Pair Cover: Very good.  Slight shelf wear top center, lower right corner prior bend, lower left corner water stain.
Rear Cover: Top left corner tiny crinkle, top right corner tiny stain, bottom right corner larger stain.
Gatefold:  Bottom left corner tiny wear/crinkle, top right corner tiny crinkle.
Spline intact, firm and strong, some slight fading/discoloration and very minute chip through the word "PAIR".

Vinyl: The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Side A: Very good plus/near mint.  Under magnification shiny and clean.  Runoff wax stamped "Mastered by Capitol"
Side B: Very good plus/near mint. Shiny and clean, no spindle wear or gouges. Really clean. Run out wax stamped "Mastered by Capitol"
Very clean, fresh and shiny album.
A Saucerful of Secrets:
Side A: Very good plus, the tiniest of run out scratch through last quarter of the last track, only seen under magnification.  Very shiny and clean.  No spindle damage.  Stamped in run out wax  "Mastered by Capitol".
Side B: Very good plus. No spindle wear, shiny and fresh, no spindle damage, stamped in run out  wax "Mastered by Capitol".
Both inner albums sleeves are intact, no tear thrus or separations. As I don't know where this album was originally purchase, I can't speak to the round label in the US markets that covered the woman's breasts in the top center panel. There are no circular label remnants, I just don't know. That's it, fun old Floyd from the Barrett years on the fine Harvest label.


Comes with heavy clear album sleeve.
Overall this is a VG Plus album. I listened to track 3, side 2 "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Son". You don't hear any pops, no skipping or scratches, perhaps a tiny bit of fuzz or what I would call "live needle awareness", but I associate that with lower volume and the intro on this track is quiet.  It's sounds really good.
I bought this album in 2003 that was in a fairly large collection.  Overall the vinyl looks and plays great, I wasn't hearing any pops, scratches or any skipping whatsoever. All four sides look shiny and clean. I would wager these albums have been played at most perhaps six times, some tracks even fewer.  The worse downside to this album is the slightly bent lower right front album cover and the water stain.

All my vinyl is powered by a Mac 4100, Tannoy Saturn 10s on a Technics SLQ220 with a middle of the road Audio-Technica cartridge and needle with about 50 hours on it.  Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. 

Grading System: (this was pasted from other sellers, thank you, but faithfully adhere to it).

SEALED: Sealed at factory and never opened. Vinyl is assumed to be mint, but cannot be sure until opening.

NM: When I grade something near mint, you know the only thing that isn't perfect about it is that someone actually opened it. There could be a light scuff mark or two from taking it out of the sleeve. The jacket will look like new.

VG++: These LPs appear not to have been played more than once or twice. You can expect to see scuffs or other insignificant surface marks ­ very minor ­ that will have no effect whatsoever on the sound of the recording. Jacket will show very slight, just beginning ring wear. Maybe a little wear in the corners.

VG+: Records in this condition have obviously been played a few times, though they have been well taken care of. You can expect to see a few light marks, but they should have a minimal effect, if any at all, on the sound of the recording. Jacket will very likely show noticeble ring and edge wear and maybe one or two other minor flaws. Anything more will be noted.

VG: These albums have been played quite a few times and although not abused you will see and hear signs of use. But, the music will dominate your listening experience and you shouldn't be overwhelmed by the various vinyl nuances, such as tics, pops, crackles and hisses. You should still be able to sit back and fully enjoy listening to an album in this condition.
Jacket will have a number of flaws, such as heavy ring and seam wear, writing, small seam splits, stickers, etc.

G: I try not to go here, but if it's a rare or exceptionally great piece of music that must be heard, then I'll offer it. But the noise will be very noticeable, and you'll want to find a better copy. Still, the record will be fully playable, and you should enjoy it because it's such wonderful music. Jackets in this condition will have large seam splits, large writing, paper tears, or water damage. But it will still be fully capable of protecting the album inside.

Due to Covid I'm beginning to unload/deacession my collection.  Vinyl has been a part of my life since the late 1970s and I've bought and kept albums since then and most importantly, played and enjoyed the music. Shipping:  All albums ship for FREE via USPS priority mail.  Any album shipped will be packed in a special cardboard mailer designed to ship vinyl and I will put a top and bottom layer of cardboard on top of that.  All my albums come with a heavy clear liner included.

Take note that I never make extra money off shipping, in fact most of the time I ship free if the dollar amount is high enough.  Both my shipping rates for Media and Priority cost me a few dollars, so I try to pay for a little bit of the shipping every time.

In general I don't accept returns and everything is sold "as is".  My intention is that I am honest in my grading and condition reports and the photographs are very adequate for you to make an informed decision.  If you want more photos or a close up or two, just ask and I'll send them your way. 

As stated, not a reseller.  My vinyl collection grew too big and there is only so much anyone can listen to on any given day.   I would rather put them out to people who will play and enjoy them.  I've bought some very disappointing albums off of eBay in the past and I'm not that guy.  Any questions, just ask and thanks for looking.
