FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION, A UK ISSUE OF PINK FLOYD'S DOUBLE ALBUM A NICE PAIR, WHICH HAS BOTH PINK FLOYD'S DEBUT ALBUM THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN & A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS. THIS COPY IS THE REISSUED VERIANT OF THE GATEFOLD WITH A IMAGE OF A GARGLING MONK. THE 1ST ISSUE HAVING THE DR.PHANG IMAGE ON THE FRONT TOP RIGHT, WHICH DUE TO OBJECTIONS SHORTLY AFTER THE ALBUMS REALEASE THE SHORT LIVED SLEEVE WAS WITHDRAWN FROM SALE. 

THIS COPY FROM MY COLLECTION HAS HAD VERY LIMITED PLAY, AND BOTH VINYL'S HAVE THE SOUND QUALITY OF CLEAN NEAR MINT AUDIO THROUGHOUT ALL TRACKS.

SLEEVE CONDITION:..

The gatefold sleeve is clean both inside and out free of writing and splits or creases. The print on the front shows very slight rub wear at the top, but this is light. The spine is clearly readable and has little wear. Overall a very nice sleeve that grades EXCELLENT+

CONDITION OF INNER SLEEVES:..

Both inner sleeve have no wear, splits or creases at all and grade NEAR MINT 

VINYL CONDITION & AUDIO QUALITY:..

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn visually the vinyl surfaces are clean, groove channels are clear of dust and debris. Viewing under powerful spot lamp just a couple of the finest of sleeve removal lines are just on the surface. No other marks anywhere on the vinyl. Two very faint spindle trace lines are present, but hard to notice normal daylight conditions. The audio has a clean sound throughout all the tracks on this vinyl on both sides, with just slight and very brief static tics at intros. No background noise, clicks pops sticks or jumps anywhere.

A Saucerful of Secrets, the vinyl is clean on both side, and again no trapped dust within the groove channels. Side three has one or two wisp sleeve removal lines which are notable under spot lamp, but very faint. Side Four has one noticeable sleeve line, however this just on the surface and has no affect on the audio quality what so ever. The audio is again like the other disk clean sounding and there is little to find fault. Generally both sides have clarity throughout and brilliant sound separation.

The Audio quality has been play graded using my Michell Engineering turntable with high quality MC cartridge.

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing

Their cover and inner sleeve are packed separately, and stiffened as required to prevent crushing. Sealed within plastic sleeves to prevent moisture issues during shipping, every care is taken.
