PINK FLOYD A Saucerful Of Secrets (Columbia SCX 6258) UK MINT!
An original early UK pressing of the Pink Floyd`s sophomore effort, "A Saucerful Of Secrets" (1968) on Columbia Records. I`ll spare the reader any comment on this psychedelic classic; suffice to say the album features -in "Jugband Blues"- Syd Barrett`s last composition for the band.
Description:
MINT- COVER. A true beauty and very close to perfect: Original flipback cover, "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending." The back cover is date-stamped "6807" at bottom right. Practically no signs of any wear at all, save for two absolutely minuscule creases to spine and a very light disc "imprint" on the front laminate.
MINT- RECORD. A few superficial hairlines, but from sleeve removal only. There are two or three lightest crackles (in "A Saucerful Of Secrets"), but otherwise this album is close to sonic perfection.
The matrix stamps read "YAX 3633-1" and "YAX 3634-1" in the run-off grooves and on the record labels. This denotes a first pressing of the second print run - and was therefore made in 1969.
The record also comes in its original, custom-printed Columbia Records inner sleeve, advertising other then-current label releases; among them "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn"...
