Description

For sale here is a quite simply superb copy of Pink Floyds iconic 1973 LP "Dark side of the moon".
This album is simply outstanding in every possible way. No reams of waffle here. This is about the facts. Those facts are listed below. Please note the amazingly early mothers and stampers.
Pink Floyds "Dark side of the moon". 1st UK pressing. A2 & B2 matrices. Mother/stampers are 1 /A  & 1 / RA. Midnight blue cover is a strong excellent. Black inner sleeve is a strong excellent. Earliest postcard stickers (Red "permanent") are a strong excellent. Original posters are a strong excellent. Vinyl surfaces are excellent plus. Playback is extraordinarily good and grades a strong excellent plus.
The fantastic website "Pink Floyd Archives" lists all of the recorded mother and stamper combinations. They go exactly like this:- 1.    1G and 1G. 2.    1R and 3AL. 3.    1R and 2OD. 4.    1A and 1RA.  This is that exact match. The 4th earliest pressing ever.
I have been lucky enough to own over 20 copies of the solid blue triangle A2 B2 issues. This copy far surpasses the sound quality of any of them. The detail is outstanding. The clarity is beyond belief. The whole album is as close to perfect as you could ever hope to find. The run-in to the heartbeats on side one is just about silent. There are no clicks, ticks, sticks or skips of course. There is no factory pressed skip on "Money". My only notation on play-grading were 2 light "dust pops" near the start of "Us and them" (these almost always play out or clean out). This album looks and sounds like it has just come from the record store in 1973. I am as certain as possible that you COULD NOT find a comparable copy. The fact that it is the 4th earliest ever recorded (in the 1st 1200 pressed) explains the depth of quality of the audio performance.  It is no exaggeration at all to say that this blows all other copies right out of the water. The condition and quality is a testament to its previous owner. Meticulously cared for from day one. Stored upright in a polythene cover and lightly played on quality hi-fi components.
The starting price is high. The quality of the album is higher. When is the next time such an early pressing in this condition will turn up?
Postage within the UK will by by Royal Mail special next day delivery, paid for by myself. I will post overseas, although I have had issues in the past with Mexico, Russia and Belarus, so I will not be posting there and will cancel any bids from those countries. I have listed the price for UK postage only. Postage overseas would be using Ebays Global shipping programme. Not cheap, but everything is covered. I also dress all my albums in a brand new heavyweight plastic cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve. All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit. I have sold many valuable vinyl's over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing. Please bid with peace of mind that what you see and read in this listing is exactly what you will get.
If you have any questions, or require extra photos, please just ask. Album will be posted same day the payment is made if early enough, or at worst the next day.
GOOD LUCK IF YOU DECIDE TO BID. YOU WILL ONLY GET ONE CHANCE WITH THIS. MISS IT, REGRET IT.
