PINK FLOYD: ANIMALS – UK vinyl lp with unseen drawing insert

 

The vinyl is the common 1977 BRITISH pressing on EMI Harvest Records, cat. No. SHVL 815. What makes it strange is that it comes with a photographic insert sheet consisting of an unseen drawing, instead of the normal picture cover. It is actually a photo of a drawing that was said to be a rejected sketch for the album cover project, and I only remember that I got it in the late 70’s from a guy who ran an import record store at the time. However I don’t have any other info about it and (apart the vinyl) I can’t guarantee that such insert is genuine, so this item is being sold “as is”.

The record is Mint, unplayed.

After a more accurate exam of the INSERT I can say that on the back side there is this text printed: "this paper manufactured by kodak", which confirm that it actually is a photograph of an unknown drawing.
