Description
Pink Floyd – Animals
Pink Floyd evolved from an earlier rock band, formed in 1965, which was at different times called Sigma 6, The Meggadeaths, The Architectural Abdabs, The Screaming Abdabs, and The Abdabs. When the band split up, guitarists Rado ‘Bob’ Klose and Roger Waters, drummer Nick Mason, and wind instrument player Rick Wright formed a new band called Tea Set. After a brief spell with a lead vocalist named Chris Dennis guitarist and vocalist Syd Barrett joined the band and it was Barrett that came up with the name Pink Floyd (after two blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council).
This is the original first press with A-2U/B-2U matrix stamps (there was no A1 or B1). The gatefold cover is printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd and has the wide spine and the labels have the rough grooved centres to them. All these points denote a first pressing!
Side One: Pigs On The Wing 1; Dogs.
Side Two: Pigs (Three Different Ones); Sheep; Pigs On The Wing 2.
The album is on Harvest Records, SHVL 815. Matrix side one: SHVL 815 A-2U (stamped). Matrix side two: SHVL 815 B-2U (stamped).

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (unlaminated, gatefold): very good (some small light scrape marks near the top front and back, a few small indent marks, light sticker removal marks on the front).
Comes with the original lyric inner sleeve in excellent condition.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
