Description
This A2/B3 first pressing of Animals is in excellent condition and plays extremely well. The vinyl visually is in stunning condition and has only a handful of faint hairlines that I can see under a strong bright light.
Play grading
I have play tested the LP in its entirety and the audio plays with a excellent clarity. 'Pigs On The Wing1' does play with a little static but does not interfere with the audio in my opinion. Thereafter Side One plays with only very light intermittent static but again the audio plays with depth and has no skips, jumps or clicks. If anything the second half of the side plays even better than the first half.
Side Two again starts with some static but it does lessen and does not detract from the audio very much in my opinion. It is obviously more audible during the quieter sections of the side. Again I would say the second half plays with less static than the first half for some reason. The audio is crisp and clear and plays with very little interference. 'Pigs On The Wing2' ends proceedings with very clear audio and barely no background noise.
Cover
The original G & L gatefold cover only has mild shelf wear. There is some rubbing on the top and bottom edges and on the spine but remains in excellent condition for its age. A few small creases also but overall the gatefold has retained its shape extremely well and has no bar code as per the first presses and also has the front edge of the gatefold sealed with a foldunder. The inside of the gatefold is very clean.
Lyric sleeve
The cardboard lyric inner has the rounded corners as per first pressings. There is a split to one side but overall is in excellent condition with just a few small creases around the edges also. It has the 9-inch notch on the edge that opens and in the lower right corner is the catalogue number "SHVL 815(I)"
Labels
Practically as new they only have the slightest of spindle wear.

ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
