Description
Pink Floyd: Animals - a lovely very well cared for original UK copy of this iconic album - the very earliest pressing with the elusive textured label, heavy slab first press disc and earliest A - 2U/B - 2U matrices plus wide spine gatefold and card inner.
These sought after textured label/heavy disc examples are generally accepted to be contract pressings and are usually found with later 4/4 matrices.
But here is that rare combination of textured labels/heavy slab vinyl and earliest possible 2U/2U matrices.
This is a superb barely played EX/EX disc with the lightest of spindle marks - lovely shiny black vinyl with only very light surface marks apparent when critically examined under harsh halogen lighting.
The first press wide spine gatefold sleeve is in VG condition with sharp opening edges, some light creasing, a little edge wear, spine wear and some sticker residue on the bottom left corner of the rear panel.
The first press printed card inner with rounded corners is in VG+ condition with a little light discolouration.
Good luck if you are bidding. I carefully package all rare vinyl with the disc removed from the sleeve to eliminate 'knifing' during transit. Please check out my other high quality original UK vinyl offerings.
