This later pressing remains in excellent condition and does have the EMI logo on the labels.

The audio on Side Two is Ex+ (Near Mint in many sections). The beginning of 'If' is VG+

Visual grading
Under a strong bright light this vinyl is in lovely condition and only S1 has a couple of visible hairlines. S2 is in impeccable condition. It has hardly been played as there is very little spindle wear on the labels.
Play grading
The classic title track has some lead crackle (don't most records?!) but this soon dissipates to a lesser level and the audio then plays very clearly. Once the brass section begins there is just a little background static that does not interfere in any way. From then on the audio plays to an excellent standard especially when you consider how many quiet sections there are. There are a couple of pops about five minutes in but apart from that there is just some non-intrusive static here and there. For a later pressing the clarity and sonic quality is excellent and yes whilst there is some 'background' it remains a wonderful listen.
'If' begins with some crackle and a couple of pops. The audio improves but does have some static in the background for the next minute. From then on the audio plays very clearly with only one further pop. 'Summer '68' is a highlight and plays with stunning audio with only a little static at the beginning. The quality is Near Mint it is that good. 'Fat Old Sun' again has some quiet crackle on the intro and then plays to an excellent standard with only very light intermittent static. The end guitar section plays beautifully. 'Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast' plays with fantastic clarity with only a hint of background static here and there. This really is a superb version and rarely have I heard better.
Gatefold cover
The G & L gatefold is in superb condition with only a minimal amount of wear. The edges and corners are in excellent order and only the spine has a very small amount of rubbing. This is the glossy later version and the front and back cover are so clean and the inside is immaculate. The opening edge has barely any handling wear. This is definitely one of best gatefolds I have seen in a fair while.
Inner sleeve
The vinyl is contained in a die-cut plain white inner sleeve. It is in excellent condition with no splits just some creasing.
Labels
The yellow/green labels are in superb shape with hardly any spindle wear.
