PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON vinyl LP UK HARVEST Q4 SHVL 804 UK Quadraphonic 1973
Compatible with STEREO LP players and is simply AUDIBLY SUPERB!
I have acquired a large collection of wonderful PINK FLOYD & CLASSIC ROCK LPs from a very keen and dedicated source
They are all mostly from the late 60s to late 80s - Something of a Golden Age in rock recordingAll records are inspected very carefully and
Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.
I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws

Condition Side One is Visually EXCELLENT and Audibly EXCELLENT with just the occasional very faint 'Tics' Side Two is Visually EXCELLENT and Audibly EXCELLENT with just the occasional very faint 'Tics'
Sleeve is Excellent with the exception of a small sticker mark near the top right corner that I am sure you can see in the photo and there are some very light signs of wear at the corner and edges - So I guess this sleeve is somewhere between EXCELLENT And VERY GOOD
Dark Side of the moon is simply an iconic LP that changed the perception of rock music
but I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that .
The QUADRAPHONIC issue was commissioned by EMI and mixed by Alan Parsons
(Floyd's Sound engineer) apparently it was not authorised by the band , which perhaps says
more about record labels in the 70s - However it is, to my ears a stunning mix- I have played it
on a standard deck ( Goldring Lencko) and its the best version I have heard - I heard textures
and subtle effects That I had not heard before - for example The sax solo on Money is now so rich and honey like '
The piano on Us and Them is a revelation while the vocals and strange muttering voices between track have more focus and clarity .
In short The Quad Mix adds so much to what was already a near perfect LP .
Quadraphonic pressings are pretty rare - they were expensive at the time and aimed at a niche market
If you are lucky enough to have a Quadraphonic set up I imagine this will sound unbelievable.
