- I use Record Collector Gradings
Title: Dark Side of the Moon
Label: EMI Harvest SHVL
Group Pink Floyd
Year: 1973
Matrices: A2 B2
Record: Gramophone Co. Ltd' 'World Copyrights' text. 'Made in Gt. Britain' on bottom edge plus the Solid light blue triangle, which denotes its rarity.
There is some spindle wear. Side 2 has no marks at all. Side 1 has 3 light marks across tracks 1, 2 and the start of 3. This does occasionally cause a very light, occasional crackle, but nothing serious. Overall I would grade it as ‘Excellent –‘.
Extras Both posters and cards are present. The poster of the group has slightly faded around the edges over time. The pyramid poster is in excellent condition. The 2 cards have faded with time but are fine.
Cover: The sleeve has the original sticker on the top right as shown in the photo. The blackness of the cover had faded due to storage and the passage of time. The inner part of the gatefold has stood the test of time better.Overall I would grade the cover as ‘Excellent-‘
Comments: This is clearly an outstandingly rare, iconic album. It has been played but I have taken great care of it. Good luck with the auction

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows: MINT(M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any other items are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc + or - indicates a grading in between categories
