Description
Welcome to my auction. At long last my wife has persuaded me to sell of some off my records that i have been collecting for nearly 20 years. Please note that i am not a dealer just someone who loves great music. I grade by RECORD COLLECTOR'S grading system.
Pink Floyd on Harvest
Catalogue number : SHVL 804
Year : 1973
Mono/Stereo : STEREO
Tracks : Speak To me, Breathe In the Air, On The Run, Time, The Great Gig In The Sky, Money, Us And Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage, Eclipse.
Condition : Here for auction is a very rare A2 / B2 SOLID BLUE TRIANGLE pressing with the full set os 2 stickers and 2 posters. The rims of the labels reads GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD with ''MADE IN GT BRITAIN '' to the centre bottom of the label. This is a VERY EARLY PRESSING, the very first BLUE TRIANGLE issue text. The sleeve is the VERY RARE first issue blue tint gatefold sleeve with one opening pocket. The seal end has the flip over edge. It also has the very first issue BLACK POLY LINED inner sleeve.
The vinyl is in Nr MINT condition and is typical of the sturdy Harvest Vinyl of the early seventies, later copies much flimsier. This one is nice and thick and reasonably heavy vinyl with thick edges and is in Nr MINT ciondition. The vinyl surface is in beautiful condition, free from all but the very slightest of very light surface marks, noticable only under a strong light. The record plays faultlessly without a pop, crackle or jump. An excellent example of this very rare and most sought after solid blue triangle label pressing. The vinyl is a brilliant dark black and has a great high gloss sheen to it.
The inner sleeve is the original and is in great condition with the patent numbers printed on the bottom left and MADE IN GT BRITAIN on bottom right. Rare to have.
The dull matt blue/black Garrod and Lofthouse Gatefold sleeve is in VG condition. The sticker on the cover is missing. There is storage wear to the bottom and the corner edges but absolutely no tears, splits or rips. Still very rare to have as some early copies get put into later sleeves.
The album comes complete with the two original posters which are in very good condition, the blue pyramid poster and the Pink Floyd poster are both still intact and in EXCELLENT condition. They have not been pinned or taped, totally original.
Both of The original stickers have never been used and still have the split peel -off 'CRACK' and are identical in text and colour. Made by FASTPRINT. Never been used and in excellent condition.
Matrix numbers: Side 1- SHVL 804 A-2 with GDT @ 3 o'clock and 5 at 9 o'clock.
Side 2- SHVL 804 B-2 with T II (?) @ 3 o'clock and 3 at 9 o'clock
Grade : Record - Nr MINT
